About our therapist

Dione Aland is a caring and compassionate mature practitioner who is well versed in oriental medical theory, together with life experiences. Dione holds a Bachelor of Health Science Acupuncture Degree from Endeavour College of Natural Health (formerly the Australian College of Natural Medicine, ACNM).

Dione is a Chinese Medicine practitioner, professionally trained as an Acupuncturist, and registered with the Chinese Medicine Board of Australia (CMBA), the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and the Australian Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine Association Ltd (AACMA).

Additional studies undertaken include certifications from the following, just to name a few:

  • Guangxi Traditional Chinese Medical University (Nanning, China) – advanced Acupuncture and Moxibustion
  • US cosmetic authority, Mary Elizabeth Wakefield – Constitutional Facial Acupuncture Renewal
  • Australian Institute of Applied Sciences (AIAS) – massage

Continual annual studies in the field of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine for specific disorders also assists in obtaining annual membership with CMBA, AHPRA and AACMA. These registrations have become compulsory for qualified and practicing Chinese Medicine Practioners in Australia since July 2012. These memberships ensures continual professional education to better serve you, but also helps you in obtaining rebates from major health funds.

Being an intern and undertaking advanced studies from the Guangxi Traditional Chinese Medical University, working very closely to Chinese medical doctors and within hospitals, has also equipped Dione with additional techniques and knowledge, to assist in the treatment of many conditions.
